Community Iftar At The Academy
GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail hosted a special community iftar, bringing together students, parents, staff, and local community members for an evening of reflection, connection, and celebration. The iftar aimed to foster a sense of unity and inclusion within our diverse school community, while honoring the spirit of Ramadan
The event featured a delicious iftar buffet, where participants broke their fast together in a warm and welcoming environment. It also included popular treats like ice cream and donuts, engaging activities such as henna painting and student-led workshops, adding to the lively spirit of the evening.
Beyond the food and activities, the gathering presented a short talk on the values of Ramadan and its importance in promoting generosity and compassion.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity for strengthening connections within the school community and reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and shared values at WEK.
